THE MBM YEARS

Lewis Hamilton joined the MBM karting team at the beginning of the new millennium, racing alongside future Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg. Managed by Dino Chiesa and backed by Mercedes-Benz and McLaren, MBM quickly became one of the most iconic teams in international karting. Driving CRG karts, Hamilton established himself as one of the fastest young talents of his generation. In 2000, he won the Formula A European Championship and competed against the world’s best drivers on the international stage. His speed, determination and aggressive driving style already stood out at a very young age. The years at MBM marked an important chapter in the early career of a future Formula 1 legend.
